Centre for the Art of Living

Centre for the Art of Living The Centre for the Art of Living Educational Trust was established in 1985 to make Waldorf Education accessible to parents and children of the disadvantaged coummunities of the townships and rural areas of South Africa.

As a result of its activities the following schools were started:

In 1987 the Inkanyezi Waldorf School in Alexandra, Gauteng (Nursery - Grade 7)

In 1988 the Sikhulise Waldorf School in Soweto, Gauteng (Nursery - Grade 7)

In 1990 the Lesedi Waldorf School in Madietane, Northern Province (Nursery - Grade 6)

as well as many pre-school projects in Gauteng, Northern Province and Venda.

Since 1986 the Baobab Community College, based in Alexandra, has trained students to become Waldorf Teachers and Nursery School Teachers and is involved in ongoing In-Service Training.

If you would like to invest in the future of South Africa by providing scholarship money for the underprivileged children, please contact us. We will send you an information package, including audited accounts.
